Thats right, important date in the calendar of the clay, 7th December 2024 is "KICK OFF" for Round 1, of 8 Rounds or War Of The Wings. This is an exceptional Series, 8 Rounds, which can be subject to change, but well and truly worth getting along and seeing one of the great spectacles of the Speedway World. Heres a little sneak peek from today, drove up to check something out and also show what many dont realize, is the amount of work that goes in behind the scenes, weeks even before a meet and today was no different. Stuart Dreaver, along with Corey Duckmanton spend loads of time getting this surface ready for racing, while out there where the sheep graze, the young buck had that high powered lawn mower getting the greens already. Its rugged country side out there in Hazard County, Leeston, with very warm, dry winds and loads of sun, which bakes the track and requires hours of attention. So hats off to the blokes and the Club, last year was a fantastic meeting, with it being the last Round, this year it all kicks off at Ellesmere.
