TQ MIDGET CRASH, AARON FINLAY. RUAPUNA SPEEDWAY 2025

HELL ON WHEELS AND WHAT A RIDE. Here is a little action, a little carnage shall we say that turned adhesion on the clay to lack of adhesion, as wheels collided and the unannounced acrobatics of the mighty little TQ Midgets let rip in a few different styles. Such a great sport, but all it takes is a split second and a full on race can turn into a full blown RED and thats what we got with these warriors of the clay. With a few TQ's resting on their sides, on their wheels, all eyes turned to the mighty 38C of Aaron Finlay, who looked at one point if he was off to another event. Thankfully stayed in the cage, but wow, wild ride on the high side. You certainly have to hand it to the engineers who build these cars, not only the TQ,s but all classes that crank the clay. Extremely well built, even in hard hits, up and overs and great thing here, Aaron put on a hell of a show, fully out of his control as he became a airborne passenger but injury wise, very very limited. Although ol mate has no real re-call of the accident, he did say to me that he is very uncomfortable in the collar bone which is a horrid bone, which can be expected but isnt it good the amount of safety gear that is worn, really does help in situations like this, but myself and many other race fans wish the good bugger all the best in putting his feet up, as the bruising subsides and no doubt at all, he will be back as he is one of the great pedallers of the clay in the wickedly quick TQ Midgets.
