SOUTH ISLAND MIDGET CAR CHAMPIONSHIP 2025 Ruapuna Speedway 22nd February 2025 What a ripper of a night with the Midgets being the top dogs of the night for their South Island Championship. I might be more a V8 Nut but tell ya what, these little rockets are well and truly worth getting your backside trackside, to see them in action. Will let the video entertain your vision and mind but big shout out too the hard charging Jack Low who cranks the 54C Midget. This lad is well worth keeping an eye on, but the hard luck, the curse of that black jelly bean struck early, as Jack hammered up into Turn 3, the 54C has gone on one wild ride, certainly a 10/10 for acrobatical style but that sort of caper don't win a race and unfortunately that was Jacks night done, before he even ran a Heat. Sustaining quite some damage, the 54C was hooked off the track, back to the Pits. Jack was seen for medical and unfortunate thing, now has i think a 22 day stand down, due too the knock on the scone. I know one thing, they will return to smash it out again, in the wicked Low style. Another roll of that bloody jelly bean, fell on the 98C of Jay Chadwicks Midgets. The Woftam Motorsport Team put their guts into these Midgets and Jay certainly knows how to get into it, put on a great show but later in the night, the gremlins arrived under the bonnet and come Feature time, it was all on, from front of the pack to rear, along with Jay but the 98C was struggling to stay or gain and slowly fell back to then end the Feature on the infield. Fingers all crossed that the lads can sort out this haunting problem and like Jack ow, be back to put on a great show with the other midget lads at the next meeting at Ruapuna.
