MODIFIED INVASION 2026, WOODFORD GLEN SPEEDWAY.

ONE OF THE BEST... THE 2026 MODIFIED INVASION was absolutely out of this world, fantastic way to end a grand season at Woodford Glen Speedway out there in Kaiapoi, Christchurch. Been quite a heavy ol scene for myself over the week but so pleased to have got my backside trackside for the 2 Night rolled into 1 for Woody Glen. Due to weather forecast, the 2 nights were packed into 1 and hell, hats of too the Club who ran a stellar meeting. Too kick off the Modified Invasion, how dam good to see Allan Haigh take the first win for the night, with some great hard arsed racers out there, top job as the 1 NZ of Brad Lane was right on his heels, and it just got better as the night roared into action. Myself and all fans would love to thank the "3B's" for cranking down from the North Island and having a fantastic time on the south island tracks and fantastic to se them stay around for the Invasion, that being young Braith Kalin in the 9GM, Barry Hunter in the 53H and one bloke who is magic to watch in action, that being the 1NZ of Brad Lane of Rocket Racing. Its a great thing with the speedway community, dont matter what class, category, when shite goes to shite, they help each other out to try keep them int he hunt for victory. As you see in the Pole Shuffle, we all love a good ol dingaling as you see in the viewer count on footage, but what a bugger for Brad and Braith, the 2 North island lads had a hell on Wheels moment, quite some damage but in the Pits, out of my sight, it was all hands on deck to try get the wounded Moddys back in shape. As you see Braith made it back out, carrying the 22C top wing of 22 c modified of Haydenchunk Corbett and unfortunately, the 1NZ was not able to make it back out. Anyway, enough keyboard chatter, time too kick back and hope like hell i did a good job on what was a bloody fantastic night of full on Modified Racing.
