BARRY STEWART TRIBUTE.

13 May 2024
WHEN THE FLAG FALLS FOR THE LAST TIME, one of South Canterburys Legendary Speedway drivers for many years, Barry Stewart had the Chequered Flag fall for the last time as he passed away on Tuesday night, at the ripe ol age of 83. Its been a number of years since Barry last raced, but he was certainly one of the good ol buggers of the South Canterbury Stockcar Club who just loved getting out there, spraying the clay in his 14C Saloon and certainly had no fear of rubbing that wall, im sure the shadow of the 14C left grooves in the Woodford Glen Speedway wall, he was a real go-getter and did exceptionally well. Not only Woodford Glen but along with many speedway fans, seen him in action down there at Custom Signs Beachlands Speedway, Ashburton Speedway plus of course other speedway tracks around the country. So to the family, thoughts go out for you all and heres a tribute to the good ol bugger Barry Stewart. RIP BARRY STEWART. Kallum mate... 😉 https://deaths.timaruherald.co.nz/.../barry-stewart...
