Gloomy skies and a greasy track...not the greatest of combos for a championship meeting but it was the same for everyone competing for the NZ Super Saloon title in Napier. With repairs and replacements sorted after damage the weekend before, the 49A crew headed south again despite the average weather forecast. The 5 heats over 2 nights resulted in a mixed bag of point scoring opportunities leaving the big decision of whether to enter the repechage and start at the back of the field in the feature, ultimately risking another round of heavy damage to the car.
