STOCKCAR SHOOTOUT, WOODFORD GLEN SPEEDWAY 2026
08 Apr 2026
THE EASTER SPECTACULAR ROLLED UP TO END THE WOODFORD GLEN SPEEDWAY SEASON, with a fantastically run night, very full on night as this was a 2 Night event, but due to weather, 2 Nights of hardcore racing was squeezed into one night, that being Friday and hell on wheels, how good was it too see "The Stockcar Shootout".
Have also thrown in the edit, a couple special moments. Just a week or so ago, the good ol Beachlands Speedway had a tragic day, with the loss of one of their legends, Paul Simon and how good to see as the Stockcars rolled around The Glen, too see tributes on some of the cars for the loss of a great man.
Plus also, even though he wasnt a stockcar driver, but a Super Saloon driver, its a farewell to Richie Taylor Racing who is now hanging up the helmet and boots. Pity Super Saloons weren't on the program, but via a interview over the airways, get a glimpse of some of the great moments Richie gave at Woody Glen. And how dam good, to see Joel Myers Jr. at the Glen, from the mighty 410 Sprintcars to jumping in and first hit out in a Super Saloon, that of the 19c Malcolm Ngatai cranking it with Richie.
All the best mate, enjoy that retirement and now become a spectator.
Anyway lets get into it. What a fantastically run night. Woodford Glen Speedway really put together a fully loaded meeting and the night was well run, great way to end their season.
So here goes... Backsides Screenside, its Shoot Out Time.
