LIGHTNING SPRINTS, ELLESMERE SPEEDWAY 2026

When Lightning Strikes... sometimes there's no storm too be seen but look again, this aint no weather related lightning, this is the wild Lightning Sprints rolling out the Gate at Ellesmere Speedway, on the last hoorah for the season, may have been surprisingly small number of them, but still put on great show. By crikey, these are like the Smashing Pumpkin titled song, "Bullet With Butterfly Wings" but remove the butterfly, they will just get splatted on the grill as these Lightning rockets power it up around Hazzard Countys Ellesmere Speedway. I think this maybe the first time i have seen the 4C in action, but hell yeah, certainly no slug too the word speed. Clay Pohio very impressive to watch and i know next season out there on the Plains, the cross hairs on my lense will be focused on the flying 4C, good stuff, and yes the other lads always full noise and put on great show. So kick back and get into couple Heats and The Feature, along with my song ("Half Hand, Full Throttle") tickling the ear drums as engines sound quietens off.
